Arrival at the Wizard Tower

Aeorlas gave her a slight smile and headed down the hallway with her in tow. He did not say much, not that he felt any obligation to. He came to the staircase he had mentioned. "There are two main staircases in the tower," he said. "This one goes to all the odd numbered floors. The other goes to all the evens." he pointed at an E on the mantle. "East Staircase is odds. West is evens. It's easy to get turned around in this tower, so you can trust the markings on mantles like that."

"This way," he said, going up the staircase. He occasionally glanced at the map just to double check, but otherwise, he had a pretty good idea of where he was heading to. He only hoped she could remember this route.

"Some things have been provided for you, and they are waiting in yo r room," Aeorlas said. Thy came to the third floor, and Aeorlas led her down the hallway till they came to an offset, dark door. He opened that for her, and it opened into a fairly spacious room with a full size bed, a wardrobe, a chest, and a desk with a chair. There looked to be a balcony off the large window in the wall that presumably could open onto it. "This is your room," Aeorlas said.

He looked thoughtful for a moment, then in that strange way as before, as if he meant nothing of what he said despite the odd smile, said, "unfortunately I cannot give you a grand tour of the tower, for I have to return to my studies. But I'm sure one of the others could show you around."

He just continued with that strange, narrowed look and the strange, slightly malicious smile. "It's nothing," he replied. Then he turned to go back downstairs.

So Celine wandered around on the lower floors and then outside. There was a small yard that was Walled in with a single tree and a small vegetable garden near it. Under the tree sat a young boy reading a book. He was probably fifteen or sixteen, with raven black hair that fell over his face where he was huddled with his book.
