Bax drank some of his tea, then paused and coughed harshly. He raised an eyebrow as he looked at the cup. "Moonflower Tea? Kind of silly, isn't it?" he asked, looking over at Siblien. Siblien flinched again. "Well, sorry, um, sir. I just didn't know what the guest would like, so I made a logical guess." Lukas waved him away. "It's fine, it's fine." He drank his tea slowly.

Celine gulped and took a sip of her tea... she actually enjoyed it. She ended up drinking the whole thing before she held out her tea cup for more. But she had this really adorable innocent face on, as if she was too afraid to ask if she would like some more tea. As long as they didn't spike it with anything, Celine would be on good terms.

Bax finished his cup and slammed it on the table. "More!" Siblien scurried over. "Every time..." he mumbled lowly as he poured more tea. Bax tipped it back and tossed the cup behind him where it bounced on the bed. "You two leave us." "Why?" Lucas asked. Bax huffed. That was enough for Lucas it seemed. He finished his tea, and grabbed Siblien on his way out. "Well, now that we are alone," Bax said after a minute, "let's talk, shall we."

Celine blinked at this abrupt moment before turning back to Bax, slightly confused. "O-Ok I guess." She mumbled in an unsure voice. She shifted around in her seat to slightly face him before taking another sip of her tea. She wondered what they were going to talk about. Perhaps maybe that legend, or maybe Bax was going to brag about his ego once again. But whatever they were going to talk about, Celine was pretty on edge.

Bax took Lucas's abandoned seat, facing Cel as he leaned back in it, balancing precariously on just the back two legs of the chair, yet somehow maintaining a center of gravity. "You have lots of questions and things were not covered much in the hall. I will share with you what I know for the reason that I want you to come to accept the prophecies and join me in fulfilling our destiny."

Celine stared at him for a moment, feeling her gaze narrow on him. She coiled up a slight bit in the blanket provided to her, her gaze flickering around a bit, and a feeling of uncertainty began to swirl around her. Celine did want to know these reasons that he refused to answer certain questions at the hall. But she let out a shaky sigh. "Ok then." She said, lowering her gaze a bit and staring at the tea in the cup.

Bax told her again of the prophecies concerning them. How the Lord of the Sun and the Lady of the Moon were to meet on the battlefield where the darkness would come to kill them and rule the world once more. He told her of how their meeting was prophecized to bring death, destruction, but also life and creation. How they would end and begin a new age. How they were to become gods of the new world. How their markings set them apart from the common creatures by binding them to their fates. He again showed her the symbol of the sun under his jaw. "As to the Luna Village," he said finally, "that has probably been your greatest question: why I destroyed it as I did." He bit the edge of his lip. "Conquest wasn't the only thing that brought me there that day."

"Then what was it?" Her voice was bitter, but there was some fear in her voice. She was terrified to hear the truth. She wanted to scream at him in anger: "You killed off all of those innocent people for what?! You murdered my friends, humiliated some of them in front of their families. You slaughtered my only remaining family, and yet you retreat after I unleash magic at you?! Was it really worth murdering?! Did you even know I was there?! And if you did, would you still slaughter those innocent souls?!" However Celine held back her anger and prepared for the truth to come and slap her in the face. Her gaze lowered even more, and she didn't want to look weak towards a man with such ego yet mysterious air about him. Celine was supposed to be a powerful Lady of Moon in contrast to him and now this powerful foretold prophet looked like nothing but a teenager who looked horribly scarred and terrified to her wits about the trauma she endured.

"Your home was not called the Luna Village for nothing," he began. "Long ago, there was a castle there. Not many ruins elft of it on the surface, granted, but down underground there are still dungeons and chambers and the like. And in those chambers were," he paused, tapping the armrest of the chair for a moment, "well, how to put... those chambers were the centers for their darkest rituals. You see, the people who live there worshipped the Moon goddess to the nth degree. You're probably aware of that well enough, what with how everything was done around the place. But they hated the Sun God. When the prophecies began to emerge, their first reaction was to join the Lady of the Moon with the darkness, where they believe she truly belongs." He leaned back further in the chair. "After all, both rule the night. The sun does not belong, so they say." He paused, looking very grim and far off. "When I first came to the village was, oh, a few years ago. I was called something else then... but nevertheless, I was not welcome." He looked at Celine. "I fought against your village because of what they were doing to me. What they planned to do to you."

It was much worse that she thought. Not only that, could her friends and family really be capable of hurting a girl as nice as her? Everyone in the village was aware of the marking on her wrist. She gulped and pulled back her sleeve, looking down at the marking of the crescent moon. Finally her gaze lifted to Bax. The bitterness left her face, but it was more of: It can't be true. "What we're they planning then?" She asked in a soft voice. "... Those people were the only family I had left... I barely knew my actual parents." She gulped. "B-But what were they doing to you that you caused to come back?" So he did know she was there? She felt confused and lost. But she was going to take this chance and hear out this man of what he had to say.

"What were they planning... that I'm not so sure. Just rumors really." He frowned. "I heard mention of sacrifice. Apparently there were some elders in your village that still stuck to the forbidden religions and wanted to sacrifice you to release the Moon goddess side of you to the darkness." He shook his head. "And as to what they were doing... well, they still are. You did manage to save your village in the end after all. There are still villagers alive that plan my demise, and now that I failed to stop them, they've used my attack as a rallying point for more followers." He looked at her pointedly now. "I did not mean to kill your family. We heard from multiple sources who was innocent and who was not, but when the battle came too, we lost track in the chaos. Your family was innocent, but they paid the price of our recklessness."

Celine stared into his eyes, almost shocked that he was being dead serious. He didn't mean to kill her family... He really didn't mean it. And a sacrifice?! Celine was such an upbeat and cheerful girl, maybe that's why her aunt tried to hide the marking as long as she could. Celine's gaze lowered back to the marking on her wrist, trying to put everything together. It didn't really explain the other chaos he caused prior to Luna, but still... how could people she know for years not tell anything about her fate or something? Why be sacrificed like that? This eventually was just too much. Celine's hands trembled, eventually she dropped her tea cup onto the ground, the rest of her drink spilling out as well. She hide her hands over her face and shook her head as she tried to doubt herself of this. This couldn't be true that her own people would do this to her. Eventually, Celine just crumbled and began to sob, feeling pathetic. She had no idea what to do now. She knew those people for years, and now she learned of a terrible truth from a man who slaughtered her remaining family completely on accident. In fact, these emotions got so out of control that a very dark blue aura began to surround Celine.

Bax felt his own marking pulse slightly against his skin, and a soft, orange aura began to glow from him. He planted his chair on the ground and stood up, crossing over to kneel in front of Cel. "It's alright," he said, wrapping his arms around her. The soft orange glow wrapped around her blue aura. "I know it's a hard thing, to learn of a betrayal such as this. But it's the truth. It's what I always wanted to save you from. I never meant to cause you pain from it. I took away the only people you held dear to you. But you're safe for now. And I won't let any harm come to you anymore."

Celine continued to sob, but eventually the blue aura faded from her as she eventually just reduced into crying. She shivered and tried to get that betrayal out of her mind. She blinked in surprise when she got hugged by Bax, slightly lifting her gaze to his face. Her vision was foggy and covered by the amount of tears she had sobbed. Poor Celine hoped the next day after this would be calm. "... I-I'm j-j-just have a hard time t-trying to believe this i-is happening." She stammered.

He let go of her and slowly stood up. "It was hard for me too. I understand." He dropped back into his own chair and kicked her teacup lightly across the floor. His aura took a while longer to start dimming, but even when it seemed to have faded completely, there was a slight, orange glow to his eyes, and his marking. A strange sense of warmth and calm continued to hover in the tent. "Listen, while you're at the wizard tower, do as they say, and remember, they're on your side. Some of the teachers that come and go might have dark intentions, but the students and the headmaster will keep you safe. They claim to be neutral in all things, and for the most part they are, but they will not hesitate to step in and save your life. So you can lean on them for support."
