There was a disturbing darkness in the air at the first breaths of daybreak. Even before the first sliver of sunlight had risen over the distant horizon, a large troop marched on the tower, surrounding it on all sides opposite its moat. All wore dark clothes, blending into the dark. Only their movements broke their near invisibility.
There was obviously a great commotion among the tower's residents at this sudden event. And the tower itself seemed to be disturbed. |

Celine woke up, remaining practically peaceful. She rolled out of bed and got dressed, simple as that. Then she went to look out the window...
Only to see this giant troop appear.
She let out a screech before she stumbled out of her room and ran down the stairs, nearly tripping several times. She arrived at the ground floor to look for someone. "What's happening?!" She whimpered aloud. "What's with all of these people surrounding the tower?!" She began to feel anxious again, and she felt her power beginning to act up. Maybe this was the most appropriate of times to basically panic and summon explosions galore.

A hand grabbed her and pulled her back. It was the Headmaster. He pulled her over to a back wall so that the wizards rushing by would not run into them. "It's alright, Miss Bell. They can't get to us in the Tower. We're well protected here."

"What?! They?! Headmaster I'm scared... who are those people out there?" She asked, whimpering and on the verge of cowering in the corner. "I woke up to see all of these people outside looking at the tower... a-are they here to attack us?" Her breathing began to quicken, mostly in fear.

A wizard ran up to the Headmaster. "We can't find it!" The Headmaster nodded. "Alright, I'm coming." The wizard ran off as the Headmaster looked to Cel. "Just wait here," he said, "don't leave the tower!" He hesitated for a moment before going after the wizard.
But a mere minute later, a hand grabbed her wrist. It was Ferris. "Morning, sunshine!" he said, dragging her up a flight of stairs. "Come on! Let's watch from a better view!"

Celine staggered after him, holding onto his hand. "Ferris, what's happening outside? Who are those people?" She asked, hoping she would get an answer from someone. Or where they not telling her in hopes she would calm down for once? She didn't know, but she was glad she found someone she knew.

He stopped on the stairs, his head down turned as he looked grimly into nothing. "It's Bax and his army," he said after a moment. "There's talk that he has brought more sorcerers into his company." He turned to face her. "But don't worry. We can hold him off if we have to." He continued heading up the stairs with her in tow.

Celine's face immediately went pale within seconds at the mention of Bax. That was the last person she'd ever think to see again. First was her own home, now it was the safe haven she was sent to. Was this just merely coincidence or was there something horribly wrong? Or was it all connected to her? Celine began shaking violently, and soon a light blue aura began to surround her, the same aura that meant explosions galore. "F-Ferris... I'm scared..." She whimpered.

Ferris felt the aura before he saw its glow. He stopped and turned to her, not at all abashed by the glow or the possible explosione that were sure to follow. He took both her hands in his. "It's going to be alright, Celine," he said gently, a warm smile on his face. "You're safe here. We won't let any harm come to you."

She eventually calmed down after a moment, letting out a heavy sigh. The aura soon faded away, but Celine was still in worry mode. "Ok. I'm going to be safe here..." She assured herself. "It's going to be ok." She looked up to Ferris and tried to match his smile, but it was still broken and full of worry.

Ferris gave her a nod, then let go of one of her hands as he continued leading her up the tower stairs to the roof again. But before they actually got to the roof, he slipped through a door into an old, dusty room that was obviously not in use anymore and probably hadn't been in use for a long time. He pulled back a spindly shutter, which showed a great view of the grounds and the land on the other side of the moat. But from here, they couldn't be seen by the people on the ground. "Here," he said, tugging her down to crouch in front of the window next to him.

Celine followed and crouched down as well, still shaking but was slowly calming down. She stared out at the window, seeing all of those people out there. It still made her scared. "Why is Bax here...?" She asked silently. "Is it just mere coincidence or something?" She was afraid for the reason Bax wanted to get revenge on her for basically nearly killing him in Luna. Maybe he found out where she was... if so... what happened to the rest of the people in her village? She tried not to panic again, because that would just result in their cover being blown... literally and figuratively.

"Could be," Ferris said, watching Bax's troop below. They did not look like much, possessing no siege weapons, but knowing Bax, they had to be some kind of highly trained wizards and soldiers. "Bax's army has been campaigning southward for a while. We thought he would pass by since we are a neutral area. But either the thought of conquering the magic here was too good to pass up, or he really has a thing for you."

She felt a shiver go up her spine at the thought of Bax having a "thing" for her. What could it be? She really didn't want to know, and now she was stuck with that evil thought forever in her head. "Now it makes me worried about the rest of the people in Luna if he is here..." Celine sat down, pulling her legs close to her chest.

Ferris glanced at her briefly before turning his attention back to the forces outside. Movement caught his eye, and that's when he saw Bax, riding a massive, black horse. Of course it was Bax, because who else would ride such a horse. And the way everyone moved around him and seemed to be ready to kiss the ground he walked on... definitely Bax. Bax left the majority of his troops and walked across the bridge to the tower, with merely a handful of darkly dressed men as his escort. The Headmaster and a small posse of wizards met Bax halfway words were obviously exchanged, and even Ferris felt a little apprehensive at the sight.
