"A kittar mentioned I was complete weakling... I guess he was right." She whimpered and klonked her head in frustration. She hated being weak. So... did that mean that what Bax said was a lie? She was so lost to the point she needed to hit something until she got answers... CORRECT ANSWERS in that case. But Bax's presence was completely real to her, she knew he was there. What the hell was going on?! "... Right now... I should finish eating... then I should get some rest. First thing in the morning I'm going to find something to hit my head with, then head to class."

Aeorlas shook his head. "Don't fret, Miss Bell. Don't worry. I have a feeling there is more to this whole spell business than plain illusions. Something about what you saw was altered. I have no doubt you were in his camp or even what may have conversed with you could be real, but something about what you saw. It is that which was deluded, more or less. I don't know... but if you begin to remember anything, anything at all, tell me immediately." He stood up suddenly and bustled out of the room. "Wait, Aeorlas," Ferris called after him, going to the doorway. "What's... why... where are you going?" "I have work to do," Aeorlas called back over his shoulder, and then his footsteps were heard tromping up the stairs. Ferris looked back at Celine and Redfox, "well," he said, "what are we to do?" "Is there anything we can do?" Redfox asked. "I think Aeorlas has it under control. He knows more about potions and dark magics and things than either of us." Ferris frowned. "I'd stomp into Bax's camp and give him a piece of my mind about it. I mean really... he had a hundred and some wizards on his hands. Miss Bell is in no position to attack them really. So why all this secrecy?" "He probably wanted to keep something hidden from her," Redfox said. "After all, there are people here in the Tower who could easily use Miss Bell as a spy. Not everyone is as neutral as they say. Especially concerning that monster."

Celine sat up for a moment, taking a few bites of her food before she looked at Redfox and Ferris. "Hey... I should probably tell you something that Bax told me when I was at the camp." She said after a moment. "It's the form of magic we use... and something with the people in my village. I just want you guys to hear it out." She had a very sincere tone of voice, and she continued to stare at the plate of food, not sure what to eat next.

Redfox sat on the floor, and Ferris was still leaning against the now closed door. Ferris was the first to make a response. "Aeorlas said what you heard wasn't an illusion..." Redfox shrugged. "Either way, it'd be worth hearing no matter what." "True," Ferris agreed. "Of course we'll listen."

"Well. What I learned is that I have Moon Magic, which is an obscure form of Dark Magic. And Bax's magic is Sun Magic which is the obscure form of Light Magic." She was still baffled herself about that realization. "I still have no idea how I can wield dark magic but... ok." She sighed after a moment. "... And I heard why my village was attacked."

Redfox raised an eyebrow. "Your village attack? What... what did he say about that?" Everyone had at least heard that bit about the village's attack, but no one knew why. Ferris also looked interested as he leaned forward a little bit.

"Well..." She had no idea how to put it in simple words. She thought that no one was going to believe her after she told this story. But she held back her tears and took a deep breath. "I heard that some people in my village worshiped the Moon Goddess to the nth degree. They worshiped her so much that in order to banish the sun from the sky... T-They were going to offer me as a sacrifice to her." She gulped and let her head hung low.

Ferris rubbed the back of his head. "Well, cults are known to do all sorts of weirdness. It's such a shame that it had to be you dragged into all of it." Ferris frowned. Redfox suddenly spoke up. "I'll bet that the illusion cast on her was just to hide the camp," he said. "Bax probably doesn't want her to know about his forces and report back." "But whatever it was he said could be valuable information," Ferris added on.

Perhaps it was true. Celine rubbed her head a slight bit, still finding the best way to put into words about what else Bax said to her. "And he also said he didn't mean to slaughter my family. It was so chaotic that he had no idea who was who." She sighed, it was going to be awhile to get her to believe that her family's death was merely an accident, a death that didn't deserve to happen.

Ferris walked over and patted her on the head. "It's going to be okay, Celine. You'll see. Things just don't make sense right now because it's just been a lot to take in." Redfox stood and went to the door. "I'm heading out to my room." He paused. "I'm sorry about today."

Celine looked up to Redfox and nodded. "Alright... and you don't need to apologize." She looked to Ferris, a tiny smile curling on her lips. "I hope things will start to make sense soon." She would start class tomorrow anyways. so that was something to keep her mind off today's events.

Redfox glanced back at her with an unreadable expression in his green eyes, then he slowly walked away, opening and shutting the door behind him as he left. Seeing as it was so late, Ferris also decided maybe it was best to leave. "You sure you don't want anything to eat?" he asked stretching his arms as he stood.

"Right now I'll be ok." She assured him. "I just need some rest, dream the bad day away... Tell Redfox I'm sorry if I worried him." She had caught the strange stare, she hoped he was ok. She really did. She just hoped that everyone was ok.

He gave her a smile and nodded. "Alright. I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow then," he said nicely. He gave her a two fingered salute before also heading out the door. Wandering down the hall, he saw Aeorlas sitting in one of the windows, looking out to the forest below. "Made your marks?" he asked. "I can feel them all over." Aeorlas nodded. "Nothing will happen to her tonight." Ferris shrugged. "Well, just warn me if any other explosions come my way all the same." "That last one was her fault," he said. Ferris shook his head. "No. It wasn't. It's no one's fault. It just happens. Things happen. We can't always know what will come of any of this. All we can do is move forward and learn to live with the consequences." Aeorlas was quiet a moment, folding his arms across his chest. "You're not doing the whole wise old man speech very well," he said finally. Ferris grinned, then turned away. "See you tomorrow, grumpy face."

Celine plopped on her side, closing her eyes and hugging the pillow. She closed her eyes and began to drift off into sleep, hopefully. To a dream to erase the memories of yesterday.
