Disturbance! A Totally Manly Man Approaches His Waifu!

Ferris looked at her. "I wouldn't worry too much, Celine. This could all be coincidence after all. It's not unheard of for warlords to visit the Tower. I mean, he does have magic after all." He looked back at the scene below. The very Tower itself seemed to pulse with a disturbed aura at the sudden arrival of these dark forces, but it was more a feeling of foreboding rather than absolute danger. Ferris bit his lip. Down below, the discussion seemed to be going smoothly enough.

A new presence in the room brought on more foreboding feelings, and Ferris turned slowly around to see the blue light. His eyes widened in something of fear, not for the power per se, but because of the circumstances. "Celine!" he said harshly. "Your aura!"

Ferris reached for her, and then the explosion ripped through the entire room, and she was thrown far out of anyone's reach. The explosion blew out most of that floor, and sent a wide arc of blue light outward from the tower before it disappeared from view in the dawn's light.
Down below, the explosion stole everyone's attentions. And of course, Bax's as well. he squinted up at the sight, wondering what on earth that was, yet still struck by the strange familiarity of it all. Then, seeing something flying at him, his first instinct was to throw up a shield, but then he was struck with the realization that that was a person thrown by the explosion.
"Capto!" He held out his hand towards the figure. Instantly, a wave of red and black light shot from his hand and wrapped around Celine, creating a bubble-like form around her. Instantly, her velocity broke, and the pulsing bubble brought her down to Bax. he held out his arms, and the bubble vanished, leaving Celine in his arms, bridal style. He blinked at her in total shock for a moment. "Well, we meet again..." he said lowly, "and again... with an explosion."

The Headmaster glared at Bax, and it was not lost on the young wizard whatsoever, but his eyes were all for Celine. Strange that I would find her here, he thought, but in retrospect, it makes sense. He chuckled at her squirming. "Now, now," he cooed, like an adult to a baby, "don't be like that. I did just save you and all."
"Bax, will you put my student down," came the Headmaster's voice.
Bax looked up at him with hooded eyes. "If you insist," he said, gently setting Celine down, upright.

Bax watched her run off for a moment, his eyes flickering as he turned back to face the Headmaster. "Well, well, well, since you are hiding my destiny here after all, I would like to retract my offers and start anew." He grinned.
The Headmaster merely glared harder.

Meanwhile, the explosion had drawn a few concerned wizards to that floor, but before anyone had even gotten there, there was a strange sound, and the explosion seemed to reverse itself as every piece of debris rose up and returned to its proper place, the Tower reconstructing itself anew.

As Celine ran for the room, one of the people in the Tower, stepped in front of her. "Where are you going?" came the dark yet velvety voice of... Aeorlas.

"Oh... is that all?" he asked, smiling coyly, but her outburst made him stop and frown. "Well, perhaps if you stopped your comical waterfall of tears first," he said lowly. He pulled out a handkercheif and shoved it in her hand. "Come on then," he said, heading for the stairs. "Let's see who you killed now."

Aeorlas raised one eyebrow. "Bax is here?" He looked over her head at the commotion in full swing on the ground floor. "Hmm, I suppose that warrants this sort of disturbance." He looked back at her with great concern, though it was hard to tell what was going through his mind. "Let's get you somewhere more quiet while this all settles down."
