Celine felt her cheeks go hot for a moment when he rested his hand on her shoulder. She was blushing a little bit, but she didn’t want to freak out Kain. All of these boys she had met so far… well who are in fact her age were just all so attractive and kind… Er, not including Illiad… unless he was too stubborn to be a glompa-saurous rex. The worry seemed to have faded in an instant and her bright smile returned. “Thank you Kain.” She smiled and patted his hand with her own hand. She then turned and opened the door. “Do you think you’ll be ok walking down the stairs?” She was always eager to help, but she had a feeling that Kain might not make up and or even down the stairs. Plus she was puny, and if Kain collapsed on her she would be completely squished under his weight. However she was determined to help him as much as she can! Maybe her strange powers contained some kind of unique trick to make them float down the stairs and completely flip off physics and stairs as well. But if her power had some levitation abilities… why didn’t they save her when she was launched out of the tower? She didn’t know. Thus she held the door open for Kain and herself and began to head out, stopping before the stairs.

When she dropped her hand, he took back his, flexing his fingers oddly, the feeling of her hand still lingering on his skin. Such a strange touch. He’d never been touched like that before. It was… nice almost. If there was one thing more foreign to Kain than actual foreign countries and customs, it was something called affection. If he had known it before, he may not have found the contact between them so novel. But it struck a chord to him. He blinked at his hand for a moment, then looked at her and dropped his hand. “Yes, I’ll be fine, Miss,” he said. Whether that was true or not remained to be seen. As she had noticed, he was rather stubborn, perhaps to a fault. He doubted he was weak enough to actually fall down the stairs, in fact, he refused to let himself even consider the notion. It would just make him feel worse, at the most, he would break his neck and die. Couldn’t have that on the poor girl’s conscience, could he? He reached over and put his hand to the door to hold it open, making a gesture with his hand to the hall. She may have opened it, but he still knew manners, so he beckoned her on first.

With a small thanks to Kain, Celine headed out of the door and down the first few steps. She paused and looked back over to him, waiting for him to follow from behind. She decided that she would walk a few steps ahead before she would pause and wait for Kain. Poor Celine was still worried for him. He was shaking, stubborn, and she had no idea if all of that dark magic still had a lingering effect on him. It made her wonder, how was Aeorlas able to detect what kind of magic it was used on Kain? She wondered, was he in dark magic as well? She knew that Cursia was, and that Bax had specialized in dark magic. It was a rather intriguing subject. “You know… I might take Dark Magic. It’s horrifying and scary I know, but it could probably help me understand what my power might be.” She stared at her hand for a moment before letting out a bit of a sigh. “I’m thinking that it could be a kind of reverse form of Dark magic, since it did repel that magic out of you… Well I hope it did. But just think about it… a new form of magic. Maybe it already exists… Light magic. I don’t know. Perhaps it probably has something to do with the moon.” When Kain got to the next step, Celine went ahead to another few steps before looking back at him, smiling brightly. “What do you think this kind of magic I have could be?”

Kain followed after her rather slowly, his footfalls heavy and his steps rather shaky. He kept one hand on the inner curve of the wall for support. Coming to a stop a few steps above her, he looked at her with an unreadable expression when she started to talk of dark magic. If he had a true opinion, he denied himself one. He did not feel it was right to form one since he did not even use magic. Only stuck to the sidelines and observed. That was where he always was, wasn’t he? Watching people. Ever since… well, he did not like to go there. Better to stick to the present and the future than look back at the past. Just like now. Keeping his gaze forward, he walked on down the stairs, passing by her as he did so to walk ahead. “Perhaps, Miss Bell, perhaps. Dark magic has many faces, many sides to itself. It is a tool that can be used for good or evil, but many fall under its allure and become… monsters. But if you have a good enough heart, I see no reason why you could be enslaved by it.”

"You can call me Celine if you don't mind." She said with a smile, heading on past him after a moment. She came to another stopped and smiled. She liked on how polite many were, but she like being called by her first name, it was more friendly and assuring to her in a strange way. She was still worried about his condition, wondering if he was really ok. She knew he wasn't going to fall down the stairs. Because that would be just completely awful. "And I don't really want to use Dark magic... Heck I don't even think I can..." She muttered to herself. It was a possibility she could use it, but from what her power had shown so far, it didn't seem like it. "Bax I guess fell under its control... and now here he is... walking up to the place like he owns it." She looked down at her feet. "... I wonder, why did Bax attack my village? What did we ever do to anger him?" He had to have a motive for that, and not just to destroy everything without a purpose. If that really was his reasoning, he'd be kicked to next week.

Kain followed her carefully. “If it is all the same to you, I would rather call you Miss Bell,” he replied. Kain stopped beside her, leaning against the stairwell wall. She spoke. He listened. Somewhat. The sounds of raised voices from below grabbed his attention for a moment before he looked back at her. “The Luna Village?” he echoed. “You really don’t know?” But before he could explain himself, Aeorlas appeared coming up the stairs. He looked at Celine, then at Kain with surprise. “Good to see you on your feet. I was going to bring a healer.” “I need no healer, sir,” Kain replied flatly. Aeorlas merely grinned his Cheshire grin. “Oh, I’m sure you don’t. Just as I’m sure you won’t fall over should I do… this.” He reached over and jabbed a finger into Kain’s side. The soldier boy flinched and nearly fell back. Aeorlas grabbed his sleeve and pulled him back to a sturdier position. “Ah, see!” he said, his voice full of laughter. “I will bring you that healer after all.” He looked to Celine. “But you need to come with me, dearest. The Headmaster wishes to have words with you. And so does our… most distinguished guest.”

"Wait what?" That guest could only be that jerk that is Bax. She felt a chill go up her spine, as well as the bright smile fade from her cheery demeanor. It looked like she was going to get sick from how pale she had become, nearly as pale as the full moon itself in the sky. Her gaze lowered and she wrapped her arms around herself, feeling very cold and uncomfortable. It was pretty obvious the poor girl was scared out of her wits to confront Bax again. She already freaked out to know that he was here in the first place. But then her gaze turned to Kain. She wondered what he was going to tell her. There was in fact a plausible reason to why Bax attacked and slaughtered the Luna Village, and not just to insight fear. She thought it was just him causing a ruckus and trying to cause some kind of evil uprising by attacking these villages. But Bax personally kicked down the door to her aunt and uncle's house and slaughtered them before he charged at her. But why her? Why poor little innocent Celine who never met her parents ever? Celine however took a deep breath and gathered the small amount of confidence she had. She looked up to Aeorlas and gave a small nod, still visibly frightened with the fact she was going to confront Bax once again. "O-Okay..." She managed to say, trying not to hyperventilate.

Kain looked rather put out at having come down all these stairs -all twelve of them- only to be deterred and turned around. His head was pounding like hammers at an anvil, his legs were aching, and his weakness itself was grating on his nerves and what shreds of manly pride he still clung to. Aeorlas’ liitle bit of teasing did not improve any of those areas either. Looking bitter, Kain turned to Celine and gave her a respectful nod. “I will take my leave of you then, Miss Bell.” Then he added as an afterthought, “do not fear our guest. You will be well protected here. I promise you.” He frowned then, in thought, and finally turned and headed up the stairs again, slowly. Aeorlas watched him till Kain had rounded the stairwell out of sight. He looked at Celine with that same grin. “Making friends left and right, are we?” he purred. “Perhaps I should leave you two to have alone time more often.” He headed back down the stairs opposite of Kain’s direction. Before she could make a proper reply, he was quick to say, “Bax is waiting for you in the dining hall, and I am to be your chaperone. Don’t want you blowing him up. It would make quite the mess, and poor Ferris has already been strung along with cleanups today.”

"Um... Ok..." She followed, still hugging herself and trying to cool herself down. Celine's gaze was to the stairs. She was wonering what she was going to say to Bax. She was probably going to scream at him with what little confidence she had... How pathetic. Perhaps she would demand him for an answer on why he attacked Luna, and why he personally ran into her home and slaughtered her only remaining family. She had the urge to slap the hell out of him, perhaps it might smack some sense into him as well. She was about to ask Aeorlas if he knew the reason why Bax attacked her village other than to slaughter for joy and power, but that was a question only Bax himself could answer. However as they reached the end of the stairs. She spoke up once she had found herself calming down. "Is there a reason why Bax wants to speak with me, personally?" Celine asked Aeorlas, looking up at him with nervous eyes. Her complexion wasn't as pale as before since she had gotten a hold of herself. "D-D-Does he want to kill me?" She held back from saying: Just like he slaughtered my only remaining family? Poor shy and scared Celine. She wanted answers, but at the time she was afraid to learn the truth.

Wrapped in his own thoughts, Aeorlas, truthfully, did not pay Celine too much mind as she followed him down the stairs. Not that he was completely ignoring her, but his mind was just so preoccupied. When she spoke, his head raised a little bit, like a dog perking its ears up at its master’s voice. “Hmm? Oh, I’m not sure what he wants. But it was apparently discussed with the Headmaster who cleared this entire meeting himself.” He stopped suddenly and turned to her. “But don’t fret, dearest. The best of the best guard this tower and its people with their lives. No harm will come to you. Even Bax is not so impulsive to suicide in such a way. He’ll keep his hands off you so long as you are within these walls.” He gave her a smile that was surprisingly a warm one, and bright enough to almost be called reassuring. He continued down the stairs and stopped once more once he had reached the bottom. There was a group of tower wizards looming in all corners, and sitting awkwardly on a bench near a back wall were a handful of Bax’s wizards. They all seemed very unhinged, except one wizard who was wrapped in all black. He looked up when Celine came down the stairs, and under his black hood, his eyes seemed to glow with a rather sly grin. Aeorlas caught the expression and shot the wizard a glare across the way, but the supposed guest paid it no heed, still staring at Celine. Even from across their distances, his smile could almost be tangible.

Celine had never felt so on edge ever. She glanced at the strange wizard who had flashed her a smile, and felt a shiver go down her spine. She quickly turned away and began to walk closer to Aeorlas, who was now the most reassuring person in the room. That was the first smile that didn't hint of dark intentions towards her, and she was thankful for that. She still felt curled up and helpless as she neared her destination. It was almost like a horrible nightmare she couldn't get out of. Everything felt so obscure and off, the atmosphere surround the place was just unbelievably unsettling to say the least. Celine had never felt so terrified in her life. She paused at the door, not wanting to take a step closer for the moment. It was the first time ever she realized that she sensed a presence of darkness. Not like it was instinct, but she could sense the terrible dark magic leaking off and out of the room to fill the other room near by. It was something Celine had never experienced before, perhaps it was because she had never used magic once in her life until now. But there was back in her village, she felt that same horrible presence of magic when Bax was closing in on the village. It was so awful that she never told anyone that there was something coming to the village that had a bad aura. The more she thought about that, the more guilt fell into her. She had noticed her own magic was starting up on its own, but it wasn't the sign of explosions galore, that she can somehow control, but it was a strange feeling that made her cool down again. With another shaky deep breath, she stepped towards the door and looked towards Aeorlas, waiting for him to open it so she could confront Bax.

Aeorlas felt her step closer to him, and he looked down at her for a moment before walking with her to the doors. He pulled the door open, and it opened into the dining hall. The atmosphere was drastically transformed from what it had been the previous night. What once housed a clamoring hodgepodge of wizards now was bare of any living soul save the four current occupants. The Headmaster and an older wizard sat at one table while Bax and one of his dark dressed crew sat at the other opposite. Bax was in all his usual, dark glory. Adorned in his midnight colored armor and majestic red cape, his green eyes gleaming brightly, his young face holding the slightest of potentially cruel smiles: it was hard to think of him as a mere warlord. He appeared to be more like royalty. He was sitting straight and tall, and there seemed no malice in him for his handsomeness, but the threatening aura of death lingered around him, faintly, but it was still there. The Headmaster turned at the sound of the great hall’s creaking door. And as Aeorlas ushered Celine inside, he turned back to his guest. “Well, then, shall we get on with it?” he asked gruffly. Bax still had his eyes on Celine as he replied to the Headmaster, “please, have patience. I have many things I wish to discuss with our Miss Celine Bell.” The Headmaster’s eyes narrowed. “Whatever you have to say will be said in front of myself and the two wizards here as well. Do not think we will leave the two of you alone for any period of time.” Bax merely nodded, a short, un-phased nod. “Yes, yes.” He addressed Celine now. “Come join us, Miss Bell,” he said, motioning to the table.

Celine gulped and took one more heavy breath. She slowly walked over towards the table, a strange kind of mix of emotions were going through her mind right now. She had no idea what to feel about this whole situation. She was terrified, yet she was at ease. She was angry, but at the same time she was morbidly curious. She had so many questions for him and this entire situation... and she also just wanted to yell at Bax so much. Here was a dark wizard, showing her kindness and being a gentleman when he had taken everything she loved away from her. He basically ruined her entire life at this point. She was slightly at ease because the Headmaster was here, along with some other people as well. But she had no idea how this would turn out. She felt a shiver go down her spine again and she stopped halfway towards the table. Celine shook her head and continued forward, each step forward was giving her more dread and anxiety. Eventually she stopped at the table and slowly sat down. She was thankful she could sit down at a table. If she had stood up longer, she would have basically collapsed from all of the negative emotion in the room. Her gaze was low, looking down at the table and not making eye contact with Bax.

Aeorlas took a seat on the other side of Celine, his gaze fixated severely on Bax, as if to remind the dark wizard that he was not alone. And to remind him that there were people here who would, and could, easily kill him with a snap of their fingers if he so much as tried something out of the ordinary. But even if Aeorlas' looks could kill, Bax would still be invincible. Nothing could get to him through the thick armor that was his head and perhaps even his heart. Bax folded his hands in his lap and leaned back in his seat. The high-backed chair, with all its worn edges and protesting creaks, still seemed to serve as Bax's throne in some way. Perhaps it was all Bax's doing. He could certainly fill a room with his ego more or less, so the commoners said. And as he regarded Celine with that slight smile and sparkling emerald eyes, it was hard to think of him as anything but some superior being taking time out of its day to speak to these blessed, lesser creatures. "So, Miss Bell, we meet again, do we not? I daresay the circumstances have changed drastically, but I assure you, as these others probably have already, that I will not be harming you. I merely wanted to see you. Especially after your rather enthusiastic greeting this morning."

Now there was a small fume of anger coming from Celine. A rage that she attempted to contain as she listened to the giant ego in the room. She wanted to snap back at him cleverly, but she had no brains to think of something like that. She had grown up polite and kind, but this is the first time she was feeling angry. So she was going to go on a bit of a rant. "Yes... we do meet again." She began, trying to keep her voice at a calm temper. "I have... a few questions to ask you. If you don't mind." She cleared her throat. "First, a friend of mine was attacked by dark magic, his name is Kain, a guard in the tower. And I want to know who attacked him and why." She took another deep breath. "Second... Why did you attack Luna Village?" She bit her cheek, trying to contain her anger. "And third... why do you want to talk to me specifically?" She finally raised her gaze to meet his, her eyes were slightly glowing with a strange and eerie kind of aura, however it wasn't going to be the sign of explosions galore, but a sign of that she was being dead serious. "But before you answer those questions, I would like you to know that if you're asking for my forgiveness. You won't get it anytime soon." She felt a bit of a growl rise in her voice, but she didn't say why he won't be getting her forgiveness.
